Trans Lunar Facilities

The Trans Lunar Research Center is located at the Mojave Airport in Mojave, California, USA. Much of the Lunar Station hardware development takes place at this facility, which consists of a 6000 sq. ft. office and engineering laboratory and a rocket engine static test-site capable of handling rocket engines with thrusts of up to 150,000 pounds (667,200 n). Test-site modifications are under way that will allow the testing of engine clusters with thrusts of up to 600,000 pounds (2,668,800 n).


TLR Development and Testing Facilities at the Mojave Airport

The engineering laboratory facilities include a machine shop, an electronics and software laboratory, a composite shop, and propellant chemistry laboratory. In-house and grant program hardware are integrated and tested on the premises.
